Be The Spark
In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. ~ Albert Schweitzer
Do you believe in coincidences? Me neither. I believe everything happens for a reason, even if we never see the connection. Oh, we don’t have to get caught up in trying to figure it all out but we needn’t blow it off either.
This last six months has been like that for me. Doors closing, window shades parting, but until recently wondering if the next step was going to be “on course” or “off”. Furthermore, wondering if I even knew when I was listening to the right feedback.
We should all be fortunate enough to have the experience that, when we grow weary, some “chance” encounter puts someone in our path to rekindle that fire.
I have always been a dreamer. Believed in possibilities and knew that, if I just kept trying, I would accomplish my dreams. But, for a while, my dreams seemed so far away as to be unreasonable. Furthermore, maybe I was just being foolish. I mean, I’ve watched others close to me die never having accomplished their dreams so who was I to think my life would be any different.
And then it all changed. A meeting, an opportunity seized and a world of possibilities exploded in front of me.
However, being honest, it’s more that the one person or encounter is the catalyst verses the single factor.
As many of my friends know, I have been coaching and speaking for a number of years and the businesses have had more faces than I care to admit. Then Karen and I had begun a business partnership about a year and a half ago but it wasn’t taking off the way we wanted. Add to that a few other life events along the way and it seemed like a mutual business just wasn’t in the cards. In November of 2016 I decided that I should just work for someone else. My husband’s ex-wife owns a wonderful company called Sacred Activation and I believed I could be happy working for her and furthermore, that I could help her.
At a meeting I had the opportunity to take part in Jack Canfield’s Train The Trainer program and immediately I thought of how I might be able to use that to bring additional skills and services to the practitioners. However, it wasn’t long before I realized that wasn’t why I was involved. The realization that I had everything I needed to make a business work.
Using the Success Principles – particularly – taking action, getting feedback, and speaking up immediately when something felt out of alignment has transformed so much and I can hardly wait to share the next step of the adventure with you.
I hope you all encounter someone that will keep the flame burning and help you make the magic in your life come to fruition.
